The Preserve at West Beach
Land Vision, Inc., recently created plans for The Preserve at West Beach, a 1,058-acre preservation community on Galveston Island in Texas. The community will include 4,000 homes, a 15-story resort hotel, an 18-hole golf course and a marina on 1,058 acres of former ranchland. Over 360 acres will be set aside for a nature preserve while 558 acres of land will be conserved for open space.

Planning for North Chicago's Medical District
Land Vision identified the City of North Chicago as
an appropriate location for a Biotechnology/Medical District by evaluating its location, accessibility, physical environment and existing market demand. The Framework Plan supports a diversity of medical and biotechnology related industries within a defined district.

Serosun Farms Plans Completed
Land Vision, Inc., completed plans for Serosun Farms, a 410-acre conservation and equestrian development preserving 75 percent of its land for open space. When completed, Serosun Farms will combine peaceful, pastoral living with 21st century style.
Matthews, North Carolina – Unified Development Ordinance
Land Vision was recently awarded the job of preparing a new Unified Development Ordinance for the Town of Matthews, North Carolina. As part of the code preparation work Land Vision will be streamlining the development and application review process and developing land development regulations that will apply to four new light-rail transit stops being constructed in the community.
Illinois Medical District Urban Planning Services
To ensure that the growth and redevelopment initiatives that have defined the Illinois Medical District (IMD) for the past six decades are sustained into foreseeable future, the IMD Commission has selected the consultant team led by Land Vision, Inc.’s as a preferred vendor to provide the District’s Urban Planning Services over the next three years. Land Vision will assist the IMD and its member institutions and facilities in an update of the existing Master Plan to identify opportunities for growth and assist in the coordination of the District’s wayfinding and signage programs.
Land Vision was selected based on our unique mastery of urban design and place making principles, use of an interdisciplinary approach to develop creative and ambitious solutions that are economical and politically realistic, educating stakeholders about the available alternatives, establishing a collaborative atmosphere, and developing plans and recommendations that get implemented.

Addison Advantage Transit Improvements Plan
Anticipating the transportation needs of Addison’s growing population, Village officials have selected Land Vision, Inc.’s consultant team to lead a public participation driven planning process to identify and assess possible sites for a community Transit Hub/Park n Ride facility, conceptually configure the site and facility to accommodate a diversity of multi-modal transportation alternatives (e.g. bus, paratransit, taxi, car pool/van pool, car sharing, automobile, bicycle, and pedestrian) and retail/commercial uses, provide a detailed circulation plan for the integrated transportation modes, and clearly delineated transit and development guidelines for future public and private capital improvements along the RT 20/Lake Street Corridor.
Land Vision was selected based on our unique ability to integrate transit-oriented development and sustainable design practices that promote a diversity of transportation choices and land uses, preserve district and neighborhood character, enhance natural resources, and maintain the human scale that have always made our communities great.

Elk Grove Village Industrial / Commercial Revitalization Master Plan
Elk Grove Village recognizes that to secure its economic vitality for the next decade, it must continually adjust to the current and future needs of its business community. To effectively identify and prioritize these needs, the Village has initiated an update to its Industrial/Commercial Revitalization Master Plan.
Land Vision has been retained to lead a comprehensive update of the 1998 Master Plan, in cooperation with Civiltech Engineering, Economics Research Associates, Rocky Mountain Institute and Gary Weber Associates. Our team will address land use, urban design, infrastructure, marketing, and financing options within and around the Village’s key economic engine, the 5.4 square mile business park immediately adjacent to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.
Land Vision was selected as the preferred consultant for this assignment based on our approach and reputation for creating unique districts that promote a diversity of land use, economic, infrastructure, transportation, and sustainable development choices while preserving the human scale and character that make these districts successful.

Land Vision's Newest LEED AP Certified Planners
Land Vision, Inc.’s most recent LEED AP planners are Samyukth Shenbaga and Deanne Orlik. Following months of intensive preparation, Samyukth and Deanne successfully completed the LEED AP exam in May and July, respectively. Samyukth and Deanne’s LEED AP qualifications will further assist Land Vision’s clients in achieving their sustainable development goals.
